For 25 years, my days were ruled by decisions, deliverables, and deadlines. My only "hikes" were from the conference room to the lunch room.
My reward for climbing the corporate ladder was a corner office overlooking a grid of asphalt and glass, a world away from a mountain trail.
Today, Mount Royal is my office. My clients have four legs, prefer zoomies to Zoom, don't do meetings, and their deliverables fit in a little bag.
Before long, I realized I'd found something I never knew I was missing.
The more time I spent on the trails, the more I realized that the best hikes aren't something I give the dogs. They're something we experience together.
High drive breeds are natural problem solvers who thrive when they have a job to do and someone to do it with.
On every hike, I incorporate simple recall games, keeping your dog's mind engaged while reinforcing good habits.
Somewhere along the way, I realized something.
Mount Royal wasn't just changing my life. It was changing theirs, too.
My goal is simple: to give your dog the kind of day they were built for.
If you think your dog would enjoy a day like this, I'd be honoured to show them around my favourite mountain.
